Why we created Diagnostic Station
Getting tested sounds simple until you try to arrange it.
You may already know which test you need, but still have to find a doctor, explain why you want it, wait for approval and then work out where you can actually have it done.
It becomes even more complicated when you have recently moved to Spain, continue to see a doctor in another country or need to monitor something that is not usually included in a routine blood test.
People don’t always have medical advice. Sometimes they want to do the tests themselves. We just want to make the process easy.

If you moved to Spain but your doctor is in another country
Moving to Spain changes many things. Your medical history is not one of them.
You may already monitor specific areas of your health, repeat the same tests every few months or follow a plan agreed with a doctor in another country. Finding those same tests in Spain can be unexpectedly difficult when the local system follows a different route.
Neither doctor has to be wrong. You may simply be caught between two healthcare systems while trying to continue a routine that already works for you.
Moving countries changes your address. It should not force you to rebuild your entire medical routine from zero.

How Diagnostic Station works
1. Buy your test online
Find the test you need and buy it directly through the website. Each test page explains the sample required, any preparation and the estimated result time.
If your doctor has requested a combination that is not in the catalogue, send us the list through the custom quote page.
2. Go to the laboratory
After buying the test, visit the partner laboratory during collection hours, without a doctor’s referral. Barcelona and Madrid do not need an appointment. In Valencia and Málaga, call the laboratory to book. It is not a doctor’s appointment. The phone number is on the authorisation we send after you pay.
3. Check your results
During your visit, the laboratory will give you a QR code. Use it to check and download your results when they are ready.
Timing varies by test, from the next working day to around a week.
4. Discuss them with your doctor
Laboratory results contain data, but they can’t explain what those numbers mean for you on their own.
Download your results and share them with your doctor, who can interpret them alongside your medical history, symptoms and reason for testing.
What Diagnostic Station does, and what the laboratory does
